NEW HAVEN, CT – In a dual meet Sunday afternoon on the Yale campus, the visiting Penn Gymnastics team picked up a 195.550 to 194.675 win over their hosts. Sara Kenefick of Penn won the All Around thanks to a 39.175 and Sarah Wilson of Yale placed second with a 38.725.
On Vault, Skyelar Kerico of Penn won the event with a 9.825, just ahead of teammates Sara Kenefick, Jordan Barrow, and Yale’s Gigi Sabatini who posted 9.8s. Yale’s Sherry Wang had the third highest score of 9.775.
Over on the Uneven Bars, Sophia Paris of Penn won handily with a 9.875, Wang took second with a 9.825, plus Sara Kenefick, Kerico, and their teammate Jackie Tunney all had 9.8s.
Wilson took the Bream crown tallying a 9.875 just ahead of Penn’s Campbell Marr a 9.85. Kerico’s 9.775 was good enough for the meet’s third highest score.
Finally on Floor, Emma Davies of Penn was first flipping to a 9.85, trailed closed by Yale’s Wang, Wilson, Hana Strause, and Chloe DeJoy as well as Penn’s Sara Kenefick and Marissa Lassiter as all had 9.825s. Zara Gazdak and Ana Kenefick had 9.775s for the third best scores of the afternoon.
